Job description

THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

The Student Assistants will assist the Cybersecurity Operations Office in project related efforts and will also assist in administrative support related to daily operational tasks required to maintain EDD's critical systems. Student Assistants will perform the following job duties :

  • Assist with research, analysis, and documentation;
  • Assist with the planning and testing strategies; and,
  • Participate in project efforts.

This position is headquartered in Downtown Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Position is located at EDD's headquarters office at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, California.

Working Conditions

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.

Typical office environment. Telework may be available at your home where access to high-speed internet would be required.

Special Requirements

Students in this position may work up to 1,500 hours in a 12 consecutive month period.

Students must have the ability to read and write at a level necessary to document activities.
