The California Department of Industrial Relations is seeking a Student Assistant to support the office with clerical duties, time-management, and daily tasks under supervision. You will work with management and colleagues to assist with general office needs and use the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS).

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor I, the Student Assistant will learn a variety of clerical duties, general office procedures, time-management skills, prioritizing work, and will work with management and co-workers to support the office needs using the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS).

The Student Assistant works in an air conditioned office building with natural and artificial lighting as well temperature control. In addition, the Student Assistant works in a cubicle in close proximity to others. The position is required to work extensively on computers, scanners, shredders and/or copiers as necessary for processing work, drafting email communication, and other purposes.

This is a non-testing classification, therefore anyone meeting the minimum qualifications listed on the classification specification may apply for this position.
