Western Governors University seeks an Evaluator to review student assessments, determine mastery of learning objectives, and provide feedback to support progress through degree programs. It is a part-time role with flexible scheduling and online collaboration across teams.

The position emphasizes applying updated evaluation strategies, maintaining content expertise, and delivering consistent, personalized feedback. Some travel may be required as part of ongoing program assessment efforts.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in AI/ML with engineering Bachelor's
• Bachelor in AI with MSc/PhD in engineering
• Engineering degree + 2 years AI/ML or related exp
• Ability to work a student-friendly schedule (evenings/weekends)

Responsabilités

• Analyze and evaluate assessments to determine mastery of learning objectives and course competencies.
• Prepare accurate, helpful, and consistent feedback to help students develop course competencies.
• Apply evaluation processes, policies, and procedures when reviewing and determining students’ mastery of course learning objectives and program competencies.
• Stay current with updates to evaluation processes; adopt and apply updated and new evaluation processes as they occur.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership when evaluating new and complex assessments to ensure consistent evaluation ratings.
• Review evaluation feedback from team members and leaders, apply input as needed to ensure evaluation methods align with department and team expectations.
• Partner with team members and leaders to improve evaluation processes that promote consistent scoring and improve evaluation processes.
