Responsibilities

  • Financial & Operations Tracking: Maintain, format, and update financial spreadsheets, expense logs, and contribution data using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to support organizational planning.
  • Database & CRM Management: Assist the Development Director with data entry, record cleaning, and administrative organization within CATF’s database (Spektrix) to ensure accurate internal tracking.
  • Arts Business Operations Support: Assist with internal administrative workflows, resource organization, and planning documentation for non-profit theater operations and fundraising pipelines.
  • Planning & Calendar Support: Help maintain internal administrative calendars, development schedules, and meeting agendas in coordination with full-time CATF staff.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with full-time staff to support internal research, reporting organization, and administrative projects.

The Student Arts Business Administration Assistant is a hybrid administrative role supporting both development operations and general theater business management during the planning phase of the Contemporary American Theater festival. This internal support role blends fundraising data analysis and CRM tracking with broader arts administration functions, such as operational expense tracking, internal resource organization, and administrative workflow planning. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly proficient in Excel, well-versed in arts management principles, and discreet with sensitive organizational information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial and donor information with absolute discretion and integrity.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to follow detailed instructions and manage assigned tasks independently within an internal team environment.
