Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of career related higher education experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide career advising to undergraduate, graduate and alumni populations.
• Maintain knowledge of career counseling principles and methodology.
• Promote, support and monitor student career engagement and success.
• Execute career strategies individually and as part of a working group.
• Maintain knowledge of career goal planning, resume/cover letter writing, networking, interviewing, internship/job/graduate school search.
• Support the delivery and use of assessments.
• Support development of problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
• Present to prospective students, orientation programs, classes, workshops.
• Maintain high-level presentation skills for in-person and virtual engagements.
• Develop programs/workshops for diverse audiences.
• Consult and build strategic relationships with academic departments.
• Build programming with faculty, staff and student organizations.
• Establish protocol for regular career programming and events.
• Stay current with advances in career development.
• Assist in developing marketing materials and collaborative marketing.
• Maintain advising resources (web pages, social media, etc.).
• Utilize technology to track student progress and leverage posting systems.
