*** This position is located in Prospect Heights at the Learningand Career Center (LCC) satellite location - 1375 South Wolf Road,Prospect Heights, IL 60070, approximately 10 miles East of the Palatine campus **

Schedule Information

The LCC has long regular open hours(see below); student worker schedules are determined individuallybased on course schedule and LCC shift coverage needs:

• Sunday N.A.
• Monday 8 am - 10 pm
• Tuesday 8 am - 10 pm
• Wednesday 8 am - 10 pm
• Thursday 8 am - 10 pm
• Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm
• Saturday N.A.

Maximum hours per week

15 hours per week standard; maximum20

Duties of Position

• Greets and assists Harper College Learning and Career Centerstudents, employees, and the public. Provides excellent customerservice to all site users. Answers phones; assists withapplications; accesses multiple information systems for operationssupport; assists with events and programs including the LCC foodpantry; and works with a variety of staff for special projects asneeded to support faculty, students, and the community.
• Multilingual students (especially speakers of Spanish,Ukrainian, Russian, and other high-frequency world languages) arean asset, but languages are not a requirement of the job. Aninclusive attitude, comfort with learning new technology, andexcellent customer service orientation is key.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. is required, as is the abilityto push heavier wheeled items.
