Job summary

CCRES, Educational & Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Student Advisor to be the main contact for students at the Brandywine Virtual Academy. This role will communicate with students, families, and school district partners to facilitate understanding of the online learning program.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field and have strong customer service and communication skills. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an instructional assistant or teacher preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer and technology-related issues preferred.
  • Good organizational skills and strong technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact for students in the program.
  • Communicate with students and families to help them understand the program.
  • Understand the supports needed for students to be successful.

SUMMARY

To be the main point of contact for students in the Brandywine Virtual Academy (BVA). This position communicates with students, families, & school district partners to help them understand the program and maneuver through the BVA systems. This position is also responsible for understanding the supports needed for students to be successful in their online learning.

Position Details
  • Location: Downingtown, PA and remote (hybrid) – this position may work from home 2-5 times per week based on program needs
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, following the BVA academic calendar year
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
  • Start Date: August 11, 2026
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS
  • Knowledge of web-based programs and apps
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to organizational, system and developmental changes with assistance from supervisor and/or colleagues
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors Degree in education or related field
  • Experience as an instructional assistant or teacher preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting computer- and technology-related issues preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
CREDENTIALING

(Clearances current within 12 months)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI Clearance
  • Education Documentation – diploma or official transcripts
