Job summary

Phoenix High School is seeking an experienced High School Activities Coordinator for an extra-duty role. You will support non-athletic student activities, work with students, staff, families, and community partners to promote leadership, school spirit, and a positive culture.

You will coordinate calendars, assist with event logistics, support student government, and collaborate with advisors. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with high school students.
• Experience with student activities, leadership, clubs, events, or related programs preferred.
• Ability to organize multiple activities, manage schedules, meet deadlines, and maintain records.
• Strong communication and collaboration with students, staff, families, and community members.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends beyond regular school hours.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate approved non-athletic student activities (assemblies, dances, Homecoming).
• Develop and communicate the annual student activities and fundraising calendar.
• Support student government and leadership activities with advisors.
• Provide coordination support to club advisors and student leaders.
• Assist with event logistics, facilities, supervision plans, and setup/cleanup.
• Route activity/fundraising requests for administrative approval and follow procedures.
• Report safety, conduct, or financial concerns to administration.
• Perform other activities-related coordination duties as assigned.
