Job summary

High Tech High Expanded Learning programs are seeking an Assistant Coordinator to provide direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director and mentor, tutor, and lead activities. The role also plans and coordinates curriculum, provides outreach to families, and may serve as second in charge in the absence of leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with students.
• Clearances: Tuberculosis and DOJ background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach and communication to families
• Serve as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director
• May serve as second in charge in the absence of the Aftercare Coordinator/Director
• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organized environment for the students
• Take attendance to ensure all students are accounted for
• Plan, develop, and facilitate engaging student activities
• Assist students with learning activities and homework assignments
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols
• Perform related duties as assigned
