Job description

The Student Activities Coordinator organizes and implements co-curricular programs and event planning that contributes to a healthy and spirited student life and culture that complements our Catholic mission and identity. This person is responsible for accelerating our extracurricular activities and will report to the Assistant Principal, and support them based on need. He/She must be attentive to the student experience and culture, creating opportunities to provide for student formation and leadership growth. He/She will also manage the Spirit Shop ensuring inventory and tracking sales.

Preferred competencies:

  • A willingness to serve others through mentorship and leadership development for adolescents
  • Through self management has a high attention to detail and strong organizational capacity
  • A keen problem solver with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Willingness to collaborate and work behind the scenes to let others shine


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in education, leadership or related field
  • 3+ years working in education (or equivalent work with adolescents)
  • A valid driver’s license, ability to be certified to drive a school van with a good driving record
  • Supports our Catholic Identity as a faith based school


Preferred experience: Bi-lingual Spanish/English strongly preferred

Student Supervision/Interaction:

  • Adhere to the Decree on Child Protection requirements.
  • Complete monthly required Bulletin trainings per VIRTUS Child Protection standards.
  • All employees must consider themselves supervisors of students at all times.
