Cincinnati Country Day School seeks an admission counselor, who will be responsible for the full enrollment and retention process for all pre-primary programs (Early Childhood – age 5). An additional primary responsibility is the facilitation of a financial aid awarding and management system.

Position
The position is full-time, 40 hours per week over 12 months from July 1 to June 30. Some evening and weekend work is required.
Responsibilities
- Work with other admission personnel to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the admission process
- Coordinate campus visits and lead tours for prospective families
- Administer and manage admission evaluations/observations for prospective students
- Manage communication with families
- Organize and execute admission events
- Serve as the office liaison to pre-primary section of the Lower School
- Be an active and engaged member of the Lower School student, faculty, and parent community including staff meetings, HOUSE program, etc.
- Support the processing and allocation of financial aid awarding to all families in kindergarten – grade 12
- Assist the director of enrollment management (DOEM) with the coordination and implementation of community programs
- Other duties as assigned by DOEM
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, experience in an independent, private school or college setting is preferred
- Professional experience working with young children beginning at 18 months through age 5 and their families
- Strong communication (oral and written) and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional, and cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, parents, and the school community
- Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and initiative
- Program development and event planning experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management, specifically student information systems
- Familiarity with systems and databases specifically related to financial aid management
- Some evening and weekend hours are expected throughout the recruitment season
