Provides student-centered customer service, clerical support to student activities and events, providing information and assistance based on students’ needs. Assists students on matters related to college programs, student clubs and organizations, co-curricular activities, and special events. Assists and/or arranges for basic services for students with special access needs or disabilities. Provides administrative support involving secretarial, technical, and logistics services for student-centered services, activities, events and programs
The Student Activities Assistant provides a range of support to student activities ranging from assistance to students with special access needs or disabilities, student government, student leadership development, student clubs and organizations, co-curricular activities, and those contributing to personal growth and development. The Student Activities Assistant requires working knowledge of, and demonstrated ability to function independently in any one of the subjects described above. Advancement potential exists from this position along the counseling and student success career ladders with additional knowledge, education, experience and demonstrated ability to provide substantive support within several student success and retention areas.
