Job summary

The University of Louisville is seeking a Financial Assistant II (Student Account Representative) to provide top-tier customer service for student accounts. You will guide payment plan options and respond to inquiries from students, parents, and university staff, working with the Bursar and other offices to ensure compliance with policies.

Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting, plus experience in financial aid or student accounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Data entry accuracy and attention to detail required.
• Knowledge of financial aid programs and regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service for student account inquiries via phone, email, or written correspondence.
• Collect current semester student fees and monitor payment plans with external vendor.
• Update payment dates and respond to questions as needed.
• Set up and process Metro College contract estimated payments; back up for semester payments.
• Explain procedures to students/parents and internal/external parties per university policies.
