Job summary

Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX is seeking a Student Employee to support Student Account Services, Bearkat OneCard & Cashier’s Office. The position is 10–28 hours per week, $9–$10 per hour, with College Work Study eligibility optional.

Summer Availability Required; Tuesday/Thursday Availability Required. You will greet visitors, answer inquiries, take ID photos, print temporary IDs, and assist with walk-ins and calls to troubleshoot account issues.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and courteous visitor handling.
• Intermediate experience with the full Microsoft Office suite; Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic with a desire to grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Creating a welcoming atmosphere for faculty, staff, students, parents, and fellow co-workers.
• Taking ID card photos and printing temporary ID cards.
• Troubleshooting account/card issues with walk-ins and call-ins.
• Representing Student Account Services at events on campus.
• Completing daily office projects.
• Assist with phone calls and email for Student Account Services (Bearkat OneCard & Cashier’s Office)
• Assist with other duties within the office as assigned
