Student Accounts Representatives make sure the University bills and collects the revenue for tuition and fees charged to students. The billing portion they may do themselves or approve the work of others. The University Cashier accepts cash, check and credit or debit card payments for tuition and fees from students via phone calls or in person. This position is involved in handling cash.
Student Accounts Representatives serve all students. In addition to the largest campus in Parkville, MO, there are approximately 8 other Campus Centers throughout the US and online, with a population totaling nearly 6,000 total students.
This position reports to the Director of Student Accounts.
This position is in a fast-paced environment and requires high accuracy as well as a great deal of multitasking. Exceptional communication skills and excellent customer service skills are necessary to provide the level of student service that is required. Compliance with privacy laws is required. The workload cycles with the progression of each term, and there are predictable peaks in work levels.
Individuals should be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer.
