Job summary

Park University seeks a Scholarship Coordinator to ensure accurate, student-centered administration of scholarships. You will work with Admissions, Advancement, Academic Affairs, Athletics, and Financial Aid to maintain donor criteria and process awards.

Responsibilities include managing applications, renewals, disbursements, and records in the SIS, plus reporting and policy documentation. A Bachelor's degree is required; experience in financial aid or enrollment management is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in financial aid, scholarships, admissions, or enrollment management.
  • Experience working with student information systems, scholarship management software, or relational databases preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service and fostering positive relationships with students, families, faculty, and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing records and maintaining confidential information.
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment in interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Assist with the scholarship application, review, awarding, renewal, and disbursement processes.
  • Ensure scholarship awards are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with University policies and established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate scholarship records within the student information system and other applicable software.
  • Review scholarship applications and verify eligibility based on established criteria.
  • Prepare scholarship materials and provide administrative support for scholarship committees.
  • Review scholarship renewal eligibility, including GPA, enrollment status, and other established requirements.
  • Process scholarship revisions resulting from enrollment changes or other eligibility updates.
  • Assist the Advancement Office with the administration of privately funded scholarship programs.
  • Help ensure donor restrictions and scholarship criteria are accurately applied.
  • Collect and maintain scholarship recipient information to support donor stewardship activities.
  • Provide administrative support for the athletic scholarship awarding process in collaboration with Athletics and Financial Aid.
  • Compile routine reports related to scholarship awards, utilization, and recipient data.
  • Maintain accurate records to support reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining scholarship policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Provide scholarship information and customer service to prospective and current students, families, faculty, and staff.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Admissions, Advancement, Academic Affairs, Athletics, Financial Aid, and other campus partners.
  • Coordinate with academic departments regarding department-specific scholarship processes.
  • Participate on scholarship committees and other meetings as assigned.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the effective, accurate, and student-centered administration of the University's scholarship programs while providing exceptional service to students and campus stakeholders. The Scholarship Coordinator works collaboratively with university departments to promote consistent scholarship processes, maintain the integrity of scholarship programs, and support institutional efforts to enhance student access, affordability, and success.
