Job summary

Howard University School of Law Library is seeking an Accommodations Coordinator to support the Director of Student Affairs and the Student Affairs team. The role ensures compliant implementation of student disability accommodations, manages communications, and tracks approvals to support an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years’ experience in law-related field, higher education administration or student programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and manage a budget and resources.
• Ability to establish priorities and deadlines while delivering quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a student caseload, including consultation with prospective and current students to assess eligibility for accommodations and implement reasonable accommodations.
• Advise and support students navigating the ADA accommodations process via the Office of Student Accessibility.
• Coordinate testing room reservations and manage a centralized testing center during peak exam periods.
• Monitor accommodation approvals and generate follow-up communications to students, faculty, and staff.
• Operate information systems to track accommodation workflows and data integrity.
