Job summary

Howard University School of Law seeks an Accommodations Coordinator to support the Director of Student Affairs and the Student Accessibility Office. You will manage daily communications, review disability documentation, coordinate accommodations, and ensure smooth workflows in a collaborative environment.

You will monitor approvals, maintain information systems, and coordinate exam accommodations. Strong communication, discretion, and commitment to inclusive education are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Three years of experience in a law-related field, higher education administration, or related student programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and manage a budget and resources.
• Ability to establish priorities and deadlines while delivering quality customer service.
• Leadership skills to delegate tasks and provide training.
• Ability to maintain effective relations with students, faculty, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Manage a student caseload, assess eligibility for accommodations, review documentation, determine reasonable accommodations, and implement them.
• Advise and support students through the ADA accommodations process.
• Manage outreach and information resources related to in-class accommodations and the request process.
• Monitor and track all accommodation approvals and generate follow-up communications.
• Operate and maintain information systems to track and report on accommodation workflows.
• Coordinate testing room reservations for exams and oversee the proctored testing center.
• Analyze data and troubleshoot data integrity issues related to accommodation processes and student wellness.
• Coordinate with the Director and department heads on student issues.
• Support the Office of Student Affairs and take on other assignments as delegated.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
