Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking an Associate Advocate for Student Accessibility Services to support students with disabilities. You will assist intake, determine eligibility, coordinate accommodations, and help with enrollment processes.

The role involves training faculty and staff, ensuring timely note-taking, maintaining confidentiality, documenting sessions, and coordinating with campus departments and external agencies to promote student success.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with general SAS questions and documentation needs.
• Recommend accommodations to supervisor or designee.
• Provide training on disability management system to students and staff.
• Ensure timely note taking support and communicate with faculty as needed.
• Document student sessions in college systems and monitor progress.
• Refer students to ACC departments and external agencies as appropriate.
• Respond to emails and calls within 24 hours.
• Support orientation, workshops, and campus projects related to SAS.
