Washington State University seeks a Student Accommodations Specialist to consult with and advise students with disabilities, review documentation, and develop reasonable accommodations. You will oversee access services and serve as a liaison for faculty and student services, including counseling, advising, career services, TRIO programs, and WSU Global Campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional work experience advising students with disabilities, or related education/experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience; year-for-year substitutions allowed.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills with databases, spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Consult with and advise students with disabilities, review documentation and develop accommodations.
• Oversee delivery of access services and promote student self-advocacy.
• Serve as point of contact for faculty and student service offices (counseling, advising, career services, TRIO, WSU Global Campus).
• Participate on departmental and university committees; assist with procedures and workflows.
• Create and deliver informational workshops to support student success and accessibility.
