OSU Cascades Disability Access Services in Bend, OR seeks a part-time Access Assistant to support students with disabilities in coursework and testing centers. You will assist with scribing, readers, and other accommodations under supervision.
This student‑employment role emphasizes confidentiality, reliability, and inclusive communication, with hours Monday and Wednesday mornings and additional shifts in the testing center as needed. Training provided.

This recruitment will be used to fill a one part-time (a maximum of 24 hrs per week) positions at Oregon State University Cascades (OSU-Cascades). This position is located in Bend, OR. Disability Access Services (DAS) facilitates access to University programs and services for qualified students with disabilities through accommodations, education, consultation, and advocacy. DAS supports students through various transition experiences within OSU, supports students’ learning, self-empowerment and ultimately graduation.

AnAccess Assistant(AA) is a student employee hired by DAS to assist students with disabilities to perform tasks that are a required component of their course. AAs do not do the work for the student, but they may manipulate materials, write, or complete other course-related tasks as directed by the student with a disability. AAs will only help carry out course-related procedures that the student is unable to complete due to their disability. All information about the actual course and lab processes and procedures are the student’s responsibility.

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
DAS Access Assistant workers are expected to work 2-10 hours a week and have the opportunity to earn more hours if needed in the testing center. Work hours may range from 8:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday. We are specifically looking for a student with availability Mondays 10:00am- 12:00pm & Wednesdays 10:00am- 2:00pm with opportunities for more hours starting Fall term
