Job summary

Missouri State University on the Springfield Campus seeks a student AV Technician to read room diagrams, set up and troubleshoot projectors, microphones, lighting and sound systems for events. You will coordinate with PSU staff and clients to ensure smooth operations and timely event support.

The role requires a minimum 2.0 GPA, eligibility as a degree-seeking MSU student, and flexible availability including nights and some weekends as hours vary weekly. 10–20 hours per week on-site, $15/hour.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret room diagrams to assure proper set-up for events.
• Set-up and troubleshoot audio visual equipment including video projectors, microphones, sound systems and lighting.
• Inspect equipment for damage, and communicate issues that need to be addressed.
• Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Work with clients and other PSU staff to support event success and operations.
• Respond to requests from building managers and event coordinators.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as assigned.
