Job summary

The University of Missouri-Columbia's Division of Information Technology is seeking an AV Instillation Service Technician to provide first line audiovisual support, handle calls and tickets, and design and install AV systems across campus.

You will coordinate with campus staff, demonstrate equipment, and repair and adjust gear to meet faculty needs. Temporary setups may be required for spaces lacking AV installations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and specialized technical training in audiovisual technologies.
• Two years experience in audiovisual or electrical equipment repair and service is necessary.
• 2 years of experience installing AV equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take calls and tickets to resolve AV related issues in classrooms.
• Design and install AV systems in conference rooms and meeting spaces around campus.
• Coordinate with staff across campus to meet AV needs.
• Demonstrate the proper operation of equipment to students, staff, and faculty.
• Repair and adjust audiovisual equipment to meet faculty expectations and needs in classrooms.
• Install equipment according to specifications to meet audiovisual needs in classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoriums.
• Set up temporary systems to support audiovisual needs in spaces without existing installations.
