Includes days, weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays. Must be able to return to campus approximately 2 weeks before classes start in the fall and spring semesters to attend required training and stay through Senior Week (the week following finals) in May.

The primary role of the Student Operations Staff (SOS) position is to support the operating functions of University Residences in Indianapolis and provide face-to-face customer service to students, parents, and campus constituents. The position also provides facilities-related support and serves as a resource for students regarding their residential facilities needs. The position also provides facilities-related support, assisting students with Wi‑Fi access, door and lock concerns, maintenance issues, and other residential facility needs while coordinating service requests with the appropriate campus teams.
The goal of this position is to provide students with valuable real-world experience in a higher education housing office environment. This position should work 8–12 hours per week during the current semester. Those hours may be worked in any combination, at the discretion of the direct supervisor.
The SOS position must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They should also be ambitious, detail‑oriented, creative, and driven, with a strong commitment to customer service and supporting the student residential experience.
