Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Structures MRB Engineer to work in Savannah, GA. This role focuses on MRB dispositions for aerospace structures, including composites and metals across all major airframe sections.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering and 13 years MRB experience in a production environment, with proficiency in Catia V5 and related tools. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential; shift and weekend OT may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum 13 years dedicated Structures MRB engineering experience.
• Experience with engineering dispositions for nonconformances on aircraft structures.
• Experience across wings, fuselage, empennage.
• Production/schedule-driven environment; aircraft modification experience a plus.
• Ability to analyze and design repairs using equivalent strength/stiffness.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 and related tools.

Johnson Service Group is looking for Structures MRB Engineering to work in Savannah, GA.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 13 years dedicated Structures MRB Engineering experience at a recognized Aerospace Manufacturer. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD.
• Experience should include creation and justification of engineering dispositions for nonconformances of composite and metallic, pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures.
• Experience should include all components of the aircraft (Wing, Fuselage, Empennage).
• Experience should be in a Production and/or schedule-driven environment. Aircraft modification experience a plus.
• Capability to analyze and rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength/stiffness of surrounding structure while in a schedule driven environment.
• Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be computer literate (such as, but not limited to: Catia V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Corridor, Word, Excel).
• Multiple Shifts available. Shift will be discussed during interview. Periodic weekend OT required.

Works on engineering projects containing critical problems, the solution of which requires major technological advances and extensive related development

3. Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts based on broad expertise or unique specialized knowledge .

5. Acts independently to determine improved methods and/or procedures to optimize technical product, cost and schedule requirements .
6. Works under consultative direction; uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives .
7. Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities .
8. Conceives and plans investigation of broad areas of importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the program .
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 13 yrs specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
