Job summary

DST LLC in Maryland is seeking a skilled A&P Structures Mechanic to accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all airplanes and to conduct inspections per FAA requirements.

You will use precision measuring equipment and hand tools to fabricate, assemble and install structural components, collaborate with engineers on design improvements, and operate required ground support equipment. Travel to CONUS and OCONUS as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Structural Aircraft Maintenance and Modification.
• Aircraft Movement.
• Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions.
• Thorough working knowledge of FAA regulations, IPC and ATA codes.

Job description

Summary

The A&P Structures Mechanic must accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all airplanes and perform inspections as required by the FAA.

Essential Functions

• Performs structural modifications and repairs to aircraft.
• Assist the shop with meeting schedule needs to make on-time delivery of the aircraft to support missions.
• Use precision measuring equipment and hand tools to fabricate, assemble and install aircraft structural components.
• Works effectively with engineering in recommending design enhancements and productivity improvements.
• Operates all required ground support equipment.
• Effectively troubleshoots and repairs all aircraft and customer systems.
• Prompt and regular attendance.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a one thirty minute unpaid lunch. However, evening and weekend shifts may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

CONUS and OCONUS travel is required. As requested by the customer, travel canbe for extended durations.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Structural Aircraft Maintenance and Modification.
• Aircraft Movement.
• Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions.
• Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations, IPC and ATA codes.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Six (6) years' of aircraft-related experience in Structural Maintenance and Modification.
• Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
• King Air B350 structuralmodification.
• Prior training experience on aircraft mechanical systems.

Other Hiring Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Security Clearance.
• Must pass a DOT/FAA regulated drug screening.
• Must be able to obtain a passport.
• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Veteran Status Preferred.
