Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Structures Foreman to lead crews on heavy highway projects in the Northern VA/DC/MD area. You will supervise construction, review plans, coordinate crews, and ensure safety and quality in bridge structures and roadways.

The role requires five years of related experience, ability to read blueprints, and strong leadership. You will plan work sequences, manage materials, and enforce company safety policies while guiding a crew to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers on construction, bridge, and roadway projects.
• Review documents and plans; ensure questions are answered before work proceeds.
• Direct and train crew per contract drawings and specifications within budget.
• Plan sequences of activities and materials; manage two-week schedules.
• Enforce safety regulations and PPE use; act as competent person on site.
