Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Structures Foreman to lead crews on heavy highway projects in the Northern VA/DC/MD area. You will supervise activities, review plans, coordinate with engineers, and enforce safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience and/or training.
• Experience with structures for bridge and roadway work required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Reviews documents and plans before starting activities.
• Examines blueprints to determine dimensions and grade.
• Plans sequence of activities with two-week schedule planning.
• Directs and trains crew to conform with drawings and specs.
• Acts as OSHA competent person on site and enforces safety rules.
• Inspects subcontractors' work for conformance with specs.
• Maintains time sheets and production records accurately.
• Huddles with crew daily to communicate tasks and expectations.
• Evaluates safety issues and implements improvements.
• Maintains equipment, materials, and daily job diary.
