Job summary

Prudential Financial, Inc. is seeking an Analyst for the Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) in Newark. The three-year rotational program provides broad exposure across asset classes, investment strategies, and portfolio management teams.

The incoming Analyst aligns with the Structured Products / ABF team to analyze portfolio positioning, monitor risk, and deliver actionable insights for day-to-day management. The role follows a hybrid model with 3 days in the Newark office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Our client requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in investment management, financial services, or analytics.
• Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Bloomberg, Aladdin, SQL, and Python is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insights.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work across investment, risk, research, and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze portfolio positioning relative to benchmarks, client objectives, risk parameters, and investment goals.
• Produce portfolio analytics and performance attribution to explain results and inform decisions.
• Incorporate client guidelines and risk tolerances into monitoring, scenario analysis, and workflows.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk Managers, Quant teams, Credit Research, and technology partners.
• Support timely market, portfolio, and client analyses while improving recurring reports and tools.
