Job summary

Next Level Technician in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician to pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling, test with certification testers, and install racks, patch panels, and related infrastructure.

The role involves reading blueprints, working safely at heights, supporting access control, CCTV, AV, and fiber systems, and willingness to travel locally. Salary is $24–$26 per hour with weekly pay and benefits including PTO and medical coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience.
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred.
• BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Test installed cable using Fluke or similar certification testers.
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable tray systems, cabinets, MDF/IDF setups, and related infrastructure.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and system layouts.
• Install and support access control, CCTV, audio/visual, and fiber optic systems.
