Job summary

Next Level Technician in Columbia, SC is seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician for structured cabling projects. Earn $22-$28 per hour, with weekly pay, benefits, and steady work as part of a national network.

Responsibilities include pulling and terminating CAT5e/CAT6, testing cables, installing racks and panels, and supporting security/CCTV and fiber systems. Travel to job sites within South Carolina may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience.
• Structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems experience preferred.
• BICSI, Lift, OSHA certifications are a plus.
• Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).
• Working knowledge of telecom/data networks.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable.
• Test installed cable with testers (Fluke or similar).
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF.
• Work safely on ladders/lifts and heights.
• Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts.
• Install/support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems.
