Job summary

M. A. Mortenson Company is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to supervise and coordinate craft workers and subcontractors on a construction project.

The role requires coordinating equipment, labor, and schedule on site and ensuring safety and compliance across all activities. Travel to projects will be 100% with rotations home every 3 weeks for 5 days when far from the project. Qualifications

• Experience coordinating construction labor and subcontractors.
• Ability to monitor labor reports and address issues.
• Familiarity with craft certifications and trainings.
• Strong site safety participation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage project labor (craft labor, subcontractors).
• Monitor and address issues within weekly labor reports.
• Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings for specialty craft roles.
• Participate in site orientation training, first hour orientation, and site safety meetings.
• Coordinate review and approval of craft worker timecards.
• Participate in hire and dismissal process of craft workers.
• Coordinate on-site operations/Scope of Work (Equipment, Labor, Schedule).
• Provide guidance.
