Job summary

A leading fire protection and systems integration company in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is seeking a Structured Cabling Sales Representative. You will be responsible for securing profitable sales of structured cabling and voice/data projects by building long-term relationships. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of sales experience in the related field and excellent communication and customer service skills. A comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years proven sales experience in voice/data, structured cabling design, installation, or project management.
• Construction industry sales experience is beneficial.
• Business-to-business outside sales experience required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain consultative relationships with clients needing structured cabling installation.
• Identify and develop add-on sales related to projects or clients.
• Follow up on new sales leads and referrals from field activity.
• Generate detailed proposals with cost estimates for retrofit and new construction projects.
• Negotiate and close contracts.

About You: We are looking for a Structured Cabling Sales Representative who will secure profitable sales of structured cabling and voice/data projects and services by developing long-term relationships with multiple companies. Responsible for selling ongoing services and equipment, including systems such as structured cabling, fiber optic cabling, TV distribution, wireless access points, and other integrated systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain consultative relationships with clients needing structured cabling installation.
• Identify and develop add-on sales related to projects or clients.
• Follow up on new sales leads and referrals from field activity.
• Present and sell company products and services to existing and potential clients, including electrical, general contractors, and end-users.
• Generate detailed proposals with cost estimates for retrofit and new construction projects.
• Participate in pre-bid, pre-construction, and post-project meetings.
• Identify local and multi-location companies within a specific geographic area or vertical.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers.
• Provide presentations to potential customers outlining equipment and services.
• Assist in specifying bids prior to RFPs.
• Collaborate with Design to prepare proposals and assist in contract preparation.
• Prepare local pricing estimates and BOMs.
• Negotiate and close contracts.
• Support installation, service, and billing departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years proven sales experience in voice/data, structured cabling design, installation, or project management.
• Construction industry sales experience is beneficial.
• Business-to-business outside sales experience required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology and priorities.
• Self-motivated with cold calling experience.
• Team player with other sales representatives.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in management, marketing, or sales.
