Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Installer to support Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects in Lebanon, IN. You will assist with material handling, installation, and dismantling of low voltage carrier systems, preparing work areas and keeping spaces clean.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and following established procedures. You will work under supervision, learn to use hand and power tools, and help ensure project milestones are met while maintaining professional standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings; able to work with tools and equipment such as vibrators, pumps, drills, jacks, forklifts, and power buggies.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions; able to handle materials up to 200 lbs; strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
• Detail oriented; active listening and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an Installer that will be responsible for safely assisting Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects. Duties include material handling, installation, assembling and dismantling of low voltage carrier systems, preparing work areas, and cleaning of workspaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools
• Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.)
• Lift, position, and fasten objects
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by electrical trades
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
• Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and established procedures
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings, and procedure manuals; ability to work with tools, such as power and non-powered hand tools; ability to work with equipment, such as vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
• Willing and able to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions; ability to handle materials that can weigh up to 200 lbs; strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills
• Detail oriented; active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
