Mortenson is seeking a Structured Cabling Installer to support cabling technicians on hyperscale data center projects in Utah. You will handle materials, install low voltage carrier systems, and prepare work areas.

The role requires basic construction/electrical experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 200 lbs with help as needed. You will work under supervision and collaborate with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some construction/electrical experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read safety regs and blueprints.
• Ability to use power and non-powered tools safely.
• Follow instructions and ask clarifying questions.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and safety.
• Lifts up to 200 lbs; team lift for heavier loads.

Structured Cabling Installer

Mortenson is currently seeking a Structured Cabling Installer that will be responsible for safely assisting Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects. Duties include material handling, installation, assembling and dismantling of low voltage carrier systems , preparing work areas, and cleaning of workspaces.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools
• Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.)
• Lift, position, and fasten objects
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by electrical trades
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
• Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and established procedures
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Current driver’s license
• Limited ability to read and interpret documents (safety regulations, blueprints, etc.
• Ability to work with power and non-powered hand tools
