Job summary

Privatelabelstaff is seeking a hands-on Cable Systems Support Technician to maintain copper and fiber cabling in a federal healthcare setting. You will install, test, and troubleshoot cabling, support MAC activities, and coordinate with project teams to ensure seamless connectivity.

The ideal candidate can work independently in occupied facilities, follow ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards, and document results with accurate records while prioritizing safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on structured cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage field experience.
• Familiarity with copper termination, testing, labeling, patching, cable pathways, racks/cabinets, and telecom-room practices.
• Ability to follow drawings, floor plans, cable schedules and work orders; use field tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, test, certify, troubleshoot, and repair copper structured cabling and patch panels.
• Support optical fiber installation, patching, fault isolation, cleaning, and testing coordination.
• Provide first- and second-level field support for inside cable plant, MDFs, TRs, and cross-connects; ensure voice/data connectivity.
