Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 48 hours of college coursework from an accredited college or university.
• Must obtain Educational Aide Certification.
• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred; experience with children is beneficial.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in collecting instructional and behavioral data.
• Assist teacher in preparation of instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist in preparing/maintaining records/reports required by laws/regulations.
• Assist students with physical disabilities including transfers and positioning.
• Assist students with personal care including feeding and hygiene.
• Assist in implementing behavior plans and data documentation.
• Help supervise students throughout the school day inside and outside the classroom.
