Qualifications

• Must have 48 hours of college coursework from an accredited college or university.
• Pass Spring Independent School District's NCLB test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
• Must obtain Educational Aide Certification.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in collecting instructional and behavioral data.
• Assist teacher in preparation of instructional materials and displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist in maintaining records and reports required by laws and regulations.
• Assist students with physical disabilities including transfers and positioning.
• Assist with personal care and feeding as needed.
• Implement behavior plans with guidance from the SBS teacher.
• Document student progress and services provided.
• Support small groups to develop social and behavioral skills.
• Supervise students during the school day and communicate needs to the teacher.
