Job summary

PONDEROSA ES in Houston, TX is hiring a Structured Behavior Support (SBS) Aide for the 2026-2027 school year to support students with disabilities and assist the SBS Teacher with behavioral and academic needs.

Reporting to the Principal, the role requires 48 college hours, NCLB testing, and Educational Aide Certification. Preference for 1+ year experience and an Associate's degree or higher. Multidisciplinary team involvement and data collection are key aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Required: 48 hours of college coursework from an accredited college or university.
• Pass Spring ISD's NCLB test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics (Tests administered after hire recommendation).
• Must obtain Educational Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in collecting instructional and behavioral data.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Maintain required records/reports per federal, state or local laws/regulations.
• Assist students with physical disabilities including transfers, lifting or positioning.
