Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a skilled welder to perform welding and grinding per job specs on the Washington site. The role involves equipment selection, layout planning, and close interaction with supervision to meet precise standards of accuracy.

Responsibilities include weld completion, fit-up prep, post-weld cleanup and inspection, and frequent communication with the Field Foreman. Travel and overtime are required; safety and compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must pass weld tests for carbon steel plate (FCAW 2G-4G, SMAW E6010 3G downhill, SMAW E7018 2G-4G)
• Must pass drug testing and background screening
• Must complete safety training and site-specific training
• Must possess valid TWIC card

Responsibilities

• Actively supports safety and core values
• Represents the company with high ethical standards
• Efficiently produce quality welds
• Assist with weld fit-up and preparation
• Assist with post-weld cleanup, inspection and repair
• Communicate with Field Foreman about on-site issues
• Comply with Matrix safety policies
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards
