Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a qualified welder to perform welding and grinding per job specifications at our Virginia site. The role requires precise workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with supervision. Travel/relocation and overtime are frequently required to support field projects.

Responsibilities include fitting, welding, cleanup, inspection, and repair, with emphasis on producing high-quality welds and following all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

• Prior related experience and/or training in a fabrication environment must be able to pass the following weld tests.
• Must pass background screening and drug testing.
• Must complete safety training and site-specific training.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently produce quality welds.
• Perform or assist with fit-up and preparation of welds.
• Perform or assist with post weld cleanup, inspection, and repair.
• Communicate with the Field Foreman regarding issues on the job site.
• Comply with Matrix safety policies and programs.
