Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read shop drawings and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of AISC code requirements.
• Able to pass welding tests (GMAW/FCW).
• Ability to operate cutting torch per AWS specs.
• Must maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify steel shapes, sizes, and tolerances.
• Weld according to shop drawings, weld symbols, and codes.
• Preheat/cut with hand torch when required.
• Fabricate sub-pieces per instructions.
• Identify and correct shop drawing errors.
• Operate forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes.
• Attend management meetings and adhere to schedule.
