Job summary

Lyndon Steel Company, LLC is hiring full-time Structural Welders for the 2nd shift in Winston-Salem, NC. Responsibilities include MIG welding, reading blueprints, setting up equipment, and maintaining safety standards.

We offer overtime opportunities and a $2 per hour shift differential. Candidates should be able to pass a welding certification test and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Qualifications

• Welding experience preferred; able to pass weld certification test.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of drawing language and symbols for interpretation of blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding operations per blueprints and specifications.
• Set up welding equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Inspect materials and structures for quality before and after welds.
• Read blueprints, interpret drawings, and measure/cut materials as required.
• Operate overhead cranes and maintain welding area.

Job Description

We are seeking full-time Structural Steel Welders to join our 2nd Shift.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform welding operations using MIG welding processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
• Set up welding equipment and maintain proper safety protocols
• Inspect materials, structures, and products to ensure quality standards are met
• Measure and cut materials according to specifications
• Maintain welding equipment and work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment

These positions do include overtime; our second shift schedule is Monday through Friday 5pm to 4:30am, and Saturday 5pm to 10pm.

We do offer a $2 per hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Safety conscious
• Have good attendanceAble to work overtime
• Have knowledge of drawing language and symbols (for Fitter position)
• Are able to use steel hand working tools
• Previous welding experience preferred
• Pass a welders certification test
• Have the ability to safely operate overhead cranes
• Knowledge of minor welding machine maintenance is helpful
• Knowledge of oxy/acetylene torches and measuring devices, i.e. tapes, squares and levels
