Qualifications

• Ability to interpret blueprints and read a tape measure required.
• Welding certification or prior welding experience with AWS D1.1 is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits.
• Positions, aligns, and welds parts per blueprints using welding torches and tools.
• Read and interpret welding symbols and AWS D1.1 requirements.
• Operate cranes or hoists to move steel structures.
• Inspect welds using gauges and tests for conformance.
• Set up and troubleshoot welding equipment.
