Job summary

DW Steel in Omaha, NE 68110 is seeking a full-time fabricator to prepare and assemble structural steel parts per cutting lists and drawings. You will identify shapes, sizes, and tolerances and fabricate elements to exact dimensions while following safety rules and quality requirements.

The role requires the ability to read shop drawings, use measuring tools, and operate forklifts and cranes. A minimum of six months in a steel shop with a high school degree is expected; overtime and weekend work

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six months of steel manufacturing experience.
• Able to read shop drawings and cutting lists.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Identify steel shapes, sizes, and tolerances per drawings.
• Fabricate beams, tubes, angles, channels, and plates per lists.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely.
• Follow inventory procedures and assist with shop orders.
