Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years of structural welding experience.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Detail oriented, efficient, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must be computer literate.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Selects, measures, cuts, and joins metals to specifications.
• Prepares metals and surfaces for safe assembly.
• Interprets specifications and blueprints accurately.
• Regularly cleans and inspects welding equipment and tools.
• Determines correct gas ratios and tests strength of joins.
• Troubleshoots issues and reports defects to supervisor.
• Maintains safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
