Job summary

Tate Inc. is seeking a Structural Welder to perform measurements, cutting, and assembly of metal products. You will interpret specifications and blueprints, construct trusses, and collaborate with design and production teams.

Required are 2+ years of structural welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The role offers a safety-focused environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years’ experience in structural welding.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Detail oriented, efficient, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Must be computer literate and work well in a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to use accuracy measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Selects, measures, cuts, and joins metals to specifications.
• Prepares metals and surfaces for safe assembly.
• Interprets blueprints accurately.
• Cleans and inspects welding equipment and tools.
• Determines gas ratios and tests weld strength.
• Troubleshoots issues and reports defects.
• Maintains safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as production needs require.
