Job summary

Ascent Professional Services is seeking a skilled welder for direct hire in the Waukesha/Slinger, WI area. This role offers first and second shifts with a $3 per hour premium on 2nd shift, and requires good tenure.

You will safely weld to blueprints, interpret symbols, and apply Flux Core, Metal Core, GMAW, and Sub Arc processes. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work actively throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years welding experience, including large or structural weldments.
• Must know weld symbols and blueprint reading.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active all day.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform welding tasks with attention to detail and precision.
• Interpret welding instructions and blueprints to bring projects to life.
• Apply knowledge of weld processes (Flux Core, Metal Core, GMAW, Sub Arc, etc.).
• Use forklifts and cranes to move materials safely.
• Ensure the highest quality in every weld, verifying parts for accuracy.
• Set up welding equipment, adjusting wire speed and voltage.
• Collaborate with your team to solve challenges and meet project goals.
