Ascent Professional Services is helping a client in Wisconsin for a direct-hire welding technician role in the Waukesha/Slinger area. 1st and 2nd shift openings are available with a $3 per hour premium for the 2nd shift; pay is $25– depending on experience.

Responsibilities include safely performing flux-core and solidwire welding, interpreting weld symbols and blueprints, moving materials with forklifts or cranes, and ensuring high-quality welds.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of welding experience, with large weldments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform welding tasks with attention to detail and precision.
• Interpret welding instructions and blueprints to bring projects to life.
• Apply knowledge of weld processes (Flux Core, Metal Core, GMAW, Sub Arc, etc.).
• Use forklifts and cranes to move materials safely.
• Ensure the highest quality in every weld, verifying parts for accuracy.
• Set up welding equipment, adjusting wire speed and voltage.
• Collaborate with your team to solve challenges and meet project goals.
