Job summary

DBM Global Inc. is seeking a skilled Production Fitter-Welder to assemble and weld structural materials for complex steel and bridge projects. The role requires reading drawings, following AWS/AISC procedures, and performing gouging and scarfing when needed.

The position involves welding in various positions, maintaining a clean work area, and passing required weld and fitter tests. Equal opportunity employer with affirmative action plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 12 months of stable work experience.
• Must pass required weld test and fitter test.
• AWS D1.1 weld test certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow applicable welding procedures (AWS, AISC).
• Weld on ground, above ground and below ground in all positions.
• Read blueprints and interpret plans for fitting operations.
• Lay out work lines and fit up jigs for positioning material.
• Move materials and welding equipment as needed; maintain clean work area.
• Perform gouging, scarfing, burns, tack welds and finishing as required.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements.
